Exclusive ‘Cursed Films’ Clip Explores True Voodoo From ‘The Serpent and the Rainbow’

A brand new episode of Shudder’s “Cursed Movies II” premieres tomorrow, April 28and the subject of the last episode of season 2 is that of Wes Craven The Serpent and the Rainbow.

“Wes Craven and his team embarked on a grand adventure – staging a major film production in Haiti at the end of a violent political revolution. The film, The serpent and the rainbow, is based on the true experiences of anthropologist Wade Davis, which details his incredible search for an elusive “zombie dust,” and the complicated relationship he has with Craven’s interpretation of his story. Producer David Ladd and Bill Pullman and Cathy Tyson recount the challenges and strange happenings they experienced on set.

“Cursed Films” returns with a new five-episode season exploring the myths and legends behind some of Hollywood’s notoriously “cursed” horror film productions. The Wizard of Oz, Rosemary’s Baby, Stalker, The Serpent and the Rainbow, The Cannibal Holocaust: Were these films really cursed, as many believe, or simply victims of bad luck and bizarre circumstances?
